Allegheny Conference – Reading and Math Proficiency Report – Beaver Area schools annually receive the highest scores in Beaver County, and among the top 10 percent in regional Pittsburgh, in a Report Card produced by the Allegheny Conference on Community Development and the Pennsylvania Economy League. The reports measure how well fifth grade students can read and do mathematics in each of the schools in Western Pennsylvania based on Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) results. The report provides parents and citizens with easy-to-understand information in order to encourage improvement in student proficiency. In 2000, the Conference established a visionary goal - that every 10 year old in the region should be proficient in reading, writing, and mathematics by the year 2010. To attract new jobs and residents to Western Pennsylvania, the region's schools must ensure that every child enters the workforce proficient in basic skills.

Pittsburgh Business Times – In the Pittsburgh Business Times’ annual “Guide to Western Pennsylvania Schools,” of the academic proficiency of Western Pennsylvania’s districts, Beaver Area ranks #18 out of 105 school districts in the Western Pennsylvania area and #55 out of 497 districts in the state of Pennsylvania.  Click here for more.

“Education Law Center” – The Education Law Center, a non-profit legal advocacy organization “dedicated to ensuring that all of Pennsylvania’s children have access to a quality public education,” ranks Beaver Area among the top seven percent of districts within the Commonwealth. Click here for more.
